Love the food service is Excellent service of employees is good too I live near Bath and the trip is worthwhile

This is an excellent restaurant. We love visiting every time we come into town and visit my mother in law. I love the buffet and the hamburgers

I have to admit that over the years I've grown to be very picky about chowders. I've tried lots of different types of chowder from Florida up through Maine, and without a doubt, the Hitch'n Post's 'Clear Rhode Island Chowder' ranks as some of the very best I've ever tasted. It's worth going way out of your way to get, and if you don't try anything else on their menu, try their clear chowder, and you will see why I call the Hitch'n Post a chowder destination!

The food was very good, I got the steak wrap, my husband got the burger and the kids all got chicken tenders and broccoli. The staff was incredibly nice. Very quick and friendly service. We just moved to the area and wanted to try a local place and will definitely be coming back to try the buffet.

Had lunch there today. I was with a friend and we were spending time catching up. Our waitress was EXCELLENT! She would give us time, but didn't forget about us. Still checked on us. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she was EXCELLENT at her job. Customer service was memorable (in the best way possible!) Food was good but the price wouldn't make me want to return on a regular basis.

Very casual restaurant but the food is excellent. Wife and I were travel and stopped overnight at the Hampton Inn in Williamston. Asked the front desk clerk for a restaurant recommendation and without hesitation suggested The Hitch'n Post. Before going I checked yelp and tried to go to their website which wasn't working. We figured we would give it a try anyway. Happy we did. The server was pleasant. We both ordered the seafood platter. We first received a generous size salad. Dressing was adequate. The seafood platter was great. Good size portions, fish was cooked perfectly and everything tasted fresh. We would return if ever in town again.

Seen the reviews so decided to jump on the bike and take a ride down and check it out. The reviews were spot on! Food was great, customer service was fantastic. Even had great conversations with locals that just topped it off. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend. Great southern cooking!!

Great southern Sunday Buffet. The vegetables all good except maybe the collards. Nice little salad bar as well. Service good, drinks kept filled right on time. The decor was very horsey friendly.
